While giving the boat a complete once over today, new prop, plugs wires oil change etc I noticed a small drip of blue fluid going into my oil catch pan and I realized it's coming from the small rubber hose for the trim fluid.

Anyone know how to replace this hose? I assume I have to remove the complete outdrive assembly, any guidence would be great since boating season is almost here!

It is the rubber hose with the zip tie around it

Yes ,drive comes of and housing comes off. that hose probably dry rotted. the part with the ty wrap is plastic. cut the hose off with a razor knife,
the other end in the housing is on a brass barbed fitting. most good auto stores carry that type of oil hose.

Yes it is a alpha gen 2 I have plenty of hose here to replace it.

I can remove the drive no problem but never removed the "housing" can you tell me how difficult that is going to be? Should I use a new zip tie for that end? And I assume I can just slip the new hose onto the brass fitting?

Thanks for the help!

I was actually able to replace that hose without removing the entire outdrive assembly it took a lot of patience and a few different needle nose pliers but it's all good now!

Just an update, before I went to put the out-drive back on last night, I gave everything a good look over and noticed my shift cable bellow had a tiny tiny hole in it, long story short I removed the part the outdrive bolts to, and am going to replace every bellow and the water intake hose as well as the shift cable. I want to do it all and do it right the first time.

Just finished getting the outdrive back on, all new bellows, oil line, and water intake line as well. Gimbal bearing looked great I greased it while I was in there. I just have to adjust the shift cable this weekend and I'll be on the lake! :) for some reason the assembly was much easier than disassembly for whatever odd reason

Good to hear that you replaced all those rubber parts since the drive lube hose was leaking and shift cable bellow was bad, only a matter of time until the other rubber parts had problems too. You should be good for another 5 years or so on all those new soft parts.
