Re: Need help on gluing ply to skin of transom
First off, You need to keep ALL of your posts together so Everyone knows what you are talking about.
Second, you should 1.) get someone to help you, 2.) You should Thicken your resin using some Cabosil to the consistency of Mayonaise. 3.) Mix up about a quart of resin and hardner and then the cabosil. 4.) Spread it on the skin and the transom and then clamp it in place. Don't clamp TOO hard just enuf to get some Squeeze out around all edges.
5.) Have a plastic spoon handy to Fillet the squeeze out in the corners and edges.
Do you have your clamping method all worked out? Have you done a dry run to practice how it will be done and to ensure it all fits correctly and how it is all going together?
