need help on midsections

Hi there i need help. Need to know if i can change mid section on 88 140 hp sea drive 20' shaft using a 90 115 hp 25' shaft and will parts inter change. What i'm trying to do is make the 140 hp a long shaft. Any help will be greatly apreciated. Thanks aigan.:confused

Thanks Jim but no go at brp can any one help? can i use mid section from 1990 115 hp 25' shaft on a 1988 140 hp 20' shaft? The motors are both omc sea drives.Thanks for any help

Sea Drives never really had a hp desigination but we'll assume you have a crossflow (the 1990 115) which should be the 1.6 liter Sea Drive and a V4 looper (the 1988 140) which should be the 2.0 liter Sea Drive.

The V4 looper and V4 crossflow midsections are different assemblies.

The looper and crossflow powerheads are completely different. The crossflow powerhead needs a crossflow midsection (adaptor plate) and vise nersa.
