need help over heating issue with 3.7

i have a 88 stingray 198 ss 3.7 runs great unti u reach op temp about 180 if u slow down it shuts off and coolent and steam start erupting from the four bolt holes that hold the riser to the manifold what is cousing this to happen

Id agree with the above. Probably time to check and tune the cooling system. By tune i mean repair and replace worn and damaged parts. Cap (if you have a heat exchanger) impeller, and flush out the system.

here r the pix u can see were it has been leaking is water even sopose to be geting into the bolts i replaced the blots and gasket could they not be the right bolts there tight idk

SO even though there is a waterpump on the engin there is an impeller in the out drive? and if so if the out drive runs hot that would couse the engin to run hot?

ok guys i pulled my unit and there is was all nice and missing fins.got it in changed the foot oil and took it out today she ran great temp was at 130 or 140 .the only issue i have now is a slow idle issue i cnt really go slow for long she starts spudering and shutting off....so do i smell a carb rebuild or what.o yea with the boat off and the breather off i see fuel driping .maybie my pin is stuck and alowing fuel to dump at low idel and flooding the engin .....i need ur thoughts....lol the last one is my pirate chicken who came to help
