Are you sure it is the trim switch and not the trim limit switch on the outdrive? Did you bypass the limit switch to check? Most of the time the problem is in the limit switch rather than the control handle switch. Pretty easy to check if you are not sure.

Ayuh,.... That's what they make testers for,... Don't take it apart, til ya Prove that's the problem....
