:mad:Good afternoon,

I have a 1987 GM Inline 4 cyl 3.0L with a Alpha 1 Drive. I replaced the water pump, back flushed the system as Bondo stated and I am still not getting any reasonable flow out of the small vent hole at the bottom of the unit and I only have water flowing out the Port side. Is this right?

What else can I do?

You aren't supposed to get a "Good Flow" of water out that small drain hole on the bottom of the drive, all it's there for is to drain that pocket of water when you pull the boat out of the water.
It's also normal for water to come out of only one of those exhaust relief ports at the base of the transom shield.

On a 3.0 it generally only comes out of one port when running on the muffs

Is the motor running hot ?

The engine isn't running hot now since I replace the impeller.

Why I ask about the small port on the bottom of the drive is My buddy a 1991 350 mag with a Alpha drive and has a steady stream running off muffs out of that port.

He has an Alpha I Gen II, you don't. Besides, he shouldn't have a solid stream of water coming out of the drain hole either. So he has a problem, you don't.
