I own a 1996 Chaparral 1930ss and there must be a way to take out the rear seats and back panel to get at the engine eaiser. The engine lid comes off without no problem. Maybe someone has the answer. Here is a pic of the seat set up I have.
There has to be hidden screws somewhere. Alot of times they are hidden deep in the carpet, and you have to dig for them. You should be able to lift the cushion out, and then the screws will be inside the seat area.
