According the
HIN decoder here, your HIN is invalid (it's 12 digits, like it should be, so not sure why it's invalid)
The 1st the digits: JBC, id it as a boat built by Xpress boats, out of Arkansas (from the
MICs listed w/ the USCG) so perhaps you just dropped a digit when you posted the HIN. Not sure what sticker may have been on the side of the boat, but if it was labeled Lund, Alumacraft or Lowe, and has an invalid HIN stamped on the hull, I'd be wary of the boats history and legal ownership.
Did it come w/ any paperwork? How's Missouri to deal w/ when you don't have a paper trail confirming you own it now, and the guy you bought it from had legal ownership and right to sell it to you when you bought it?
The correct HIN should be on the title/registration paperwork.
Are you asking about the weight of the bare hull? 400-500lbs seems about right, if you think it weighs twice that much, I suspect you're hefting a significant about water weight.
I thought you were planning to keep a project topic running over in your
is it worth it topic? Looks like you've done some work beyond just stripping the paint.
If you want it renamed, just post a 2nd request in that topic, and I'll change the title for you to rebuilding a bass boat, or whatever the specific title rename you requested is. I missed you asking the title to be changed back in April.
