I am posting on my website 16 boxes of Korean War slides I purchased at auction that were shot in Korea in 1953. The soldier was in the 801st Medical Air Evacuation Squadron based at K-16 Seoul Korea. A lot of the slides had minimal info on them but a lot of the aircraft was not ID. Some I know like the F-86 Sabres C119 Flying Boxcars can some of the aircraft fans here help with some of the ID's of them. The slides are posted here on my site http://www.enfieldwargraves.smugmug.com/
scroll down the homepage to the galleries and let me know what boxes and number picture you can ID, thanks in advanced.............

I'm not much help, but if you need help you might try contacting Pacific Coast Air Museum in Santa Rosa, CA. They do a lot of restoration of aircraft, foreign and domestic from the 40's-90's. They may be able to help.

In box 13 that is a HU-16. I remember when I was stationed in Gitmo in 75 to 76 when it was one of the station aircraft. It was finally sent to the Pennsacola Naval Air Museum.

I don't have much to add - bekosh passed the "what plane is this" quiz :D

Cool shots BLU. Thanks for posting. My grandfather governed Uijeongbu during the Korean war. He told stories of Korea, but didn't have many pictures. My family is a Air Guard family - most of them were stationed in Selfridge AFB, but my grandfather wound up commanding Phelps Collins AFB until the late 60's.

Enjoyed looking through both the Korea and the old war birds.

My father was a army infantry sargent in korea. I know he saw plenty of combat but he never really did like to talk about it much. The pictures are amazing, do you have any field footage?

I don't know what box-10 slide 3 is but my Dad has a photo of one that looks just like it . He was 101st airborne in Korea.

I wish he were still around he would be able to identify some of them for you.
