There is no plate on the boat, but the bill of sale says 1965. It is 14'. Is there a model name for this boat? I am a rookie at all this, but it should be fun getting the boat back in shape. I just finished up redoing the old trailer and I have put the boat back on it to start work on the boat. I just ripped the transom out, and I thought I would take some pix before I start, to see if anyone can give me any info on the boat. Any info is really appreciated.

That's a nice deep 14' you've got there and the trailer looks great. What's your plans for power? A 9.9-15 would be great on it. Welcome to the forum.

@ lakelover?thank you for the info. I was able to identify the boat from the brochure specs as a 14? 2? Starcraft ?seafarer?.
@ezmobee? thank you for the kudos on the trailer. It was in bad shape when I got it. Here is a pic of it 99% finished. The motor that I got is a 1974 Evenrude 9.9. I do not even know if it runs yet, as I know absolutely nothing about outboards. The boat and trailer sat in a back yard for about 14 years, and the motor in a shed for the same amount of time. I think I got a good deal though as the owner just wanted them removed from his yard. My wintertime project will be the boat and motor (just wish I had a garage) as I just finished the trailer. I am sure I will be asking more questions and reading iboats forums.

I have a 14' Seafarer with a 20 hp on it. They're great boats, very stable and roomy, good performers on any kind of water. Good luck with the motor.

That motor should be a great one for the boat. If it has good compression, everything else is fixable and the guys in the Johnson/Evinrude section will be able to help you get it running.

I like it, the bigger brother to the Sea Scamp. I fish Lake St. Clair in a 14' Blue Finn, which is really a Starcraft. It takes small craft warnings to drive us off the lake. Those 14 footers are pretty stout. You're gonna love that little boat.
