I've exhausted all efforts to identify this prop and need some experienced help here. It is on my 18' Renken with an OMC outdrive and the 2.5,120 hp,4cyl. It's supposidly a Michigan prop and is marked J 8 0. It looks different than the spare prop that came with the boat which is a 13 3/4 x 15. Any help is appreciated because I'm trying to find which one to use. thanks

Re: Need help to identify this prop.

you can contact Michigan Wheel give them the number usually they can tell the size the application and and original cost.
I did a circa 1960s McCulloch prop and they gave me the information.
If it was mine I would try the 15" prop, note its performance numbers then try the unknown prop you'll get a good idea if its higher or lower pitch. Really doesn't matter what the pitch is except to compare or for future prop selection.Obviously you need to use the one that puts the motor within its wot rpm range and delivers the performance you need.So use what t ever until you hear from Michigan Wheel
If you double check the diameter of the 15 by measuring from the center of the bore to the tip of a blade and double it.
Then measure the other sometimes you can tell if the pitch is higher or lower.
If diameter is bigger than the 15 the pitch may be lower if diameter is smaller pitch may be higher.
Definitely not a solution but something to check while you await information.
