i am putting a 4.3 vortec in place of the old 4.3 non vortec in my Yamaha sterndrive. I bought a fancy new edelbrock marine vortec intake manifold for it ($410.00) because it accepts quadrajet carbs and well the thermostat housing is in the way and the quadrajet can’t be used. I bought a 1409 edelbrock with a 1488 calibration kit on eBay but it has no instructions. My question is does anyone know what jets/rods etc you are supposed to use for a 4.3 when using the 1409 carb? I’m in Oklahoma and when I have the boat out it’s usually 85-100 degrees outside when the boat is out and about.
