New to this forum but I have found some info that is helpful so far. I have been trying to get this old motor for 30 years and finally got it yesterday. Had been hanging in a barn since 1969 when owner went off to Vietnam but never came back. It was a friends uncle's motor and his dad has had it ever since. I got it home filled it with fresh mixed fuel and cranked and ran on second pull. Wasn't spitting any water out so i killed it. I have the prop off and am at a point where there is a brass plate with two holes in it. I have no idea how to get this thing off but from what I can tell from the drawings the impeller is right behind it. Any help or tips on getting this impeller changed would be greatly appreciated.
