Re: need help with 1967 80 hp water pump
I have a 1967 80hp evinrude starflite outboard. having trouble finding the water pump kit. any help would be great. not sure of model as i believe there were 5 this particular year. also runs really slow on speed at higher altitudes. any suggestions?
The water intake is on the forward edge of the exhaust outlet bleow the flat anti-cavitation plate.
Complete water pump kit is part number 379776, impeller only is 377992. Numbers may have been changed. Any Evinrude dealer can tell you.
I live at sea level and don't know squat about high altitudes, except that I always think I'm having a heart attack every time I go up there.
