need help with 4.3 mercruiser v6

i have a 87 mercruiser 4.3 v6 i have replaced gas, fuel lines, fuel pump, plugs wires,. the boat was stalling out wuth in first few mins, i was told it was the carb an it needed to be rebuilt. so i had the carb rebuilt an took it out today and it was running real good didnt stall or any thing but when i hit a wave in the water from another boat the motor bogged down an bout stalled but it kept running went a lil farthur hit another wave an the boat bogged down an stalled out. but it started right back up. what could be causeing this to happen now. im bout ready to give up on it. some one please help me out befor i get mad an sell this thing.

May be an electrical issue. Check all wires, relays, switches and connections. You may be losing power to the fuel pump from an oil pressure switch, relay, or the wire from the alternator to the fuel pump.

Hopefully you got a good job on the carb rebuild. You should probably also check the float position in the carb.

fuel pump is mechanical not electric

I think he needs manual no. 7 for that motor and carb. Is it a Rochester Quadrajet?
