Hi,

I was hoping to get some help from this forum. I have a 1997 Tracker deck boat with a 125 Merc outboard. Prop that is on the boat now is a 13 3/4 x 19. I am running 4200 to 4300 rpm at WOT. The boat tends to plow on the front end at plane. What I mean is the bow sits low in the water and we get a lot of side spray from the front deck back. Was thinking of going with a 4 blade prop to give the boat some extra lift. Wondering what you guys think of that. Also if I go with a 4 bladel, should I go back with a 19 inch or step down to a 17 inch. I really appreciate any help you could give me.

Power trim? I am guessing it does have it, can you getthe bow up with trim at all? Also, do you have anything heavy in the bow that you can move aft and visa versa?

I do have power trim and it helps very little. I also was worried about a weight issue but I have very little added weight from my gear on the front half of the boat. Maybe about 50 pounds but probably less.

Have you ever got more RPM out of the 19?

The most I have gotten out of the 19 has been 4400 rpm.

Thanks,

Jim
