I have a 21' Sea Strike, with a wrap around bow rail, which makes a bow mount difficult; I can remove the rail, but will then have lots of holes. I have a Great White with gator mount, but due to an anchor locker, thats not feasible. Here what I was thinking, and wanted to get some input; remove the motor from the gator mount, and use this MinnKota pontoon mount. Will it work ? Has anyone here use this mounting bracket ? Any feedback or other suggestions greatly appreciated

this isnt my model, but the bow rail is the same

Re: Need help with difficult bow mount

I have seen another user cut the rail. Sounds ugly but there is small hardware pieces than attach to the cut piece and bring it down to the bow again... so it looks original or close to it dependant on the hardware you use. Might be a good Idea, which I had a pic of this still... But cut the void and put some hardware and you can place the mount in that open space and it will look good with some well laid out thought.
