Just bought an Eagle Fish Easy 2. From the imput I have read on this forum I will be very happy with it. My Question is this: I want to install the sending unit at my in hull mount. My boat is used and has a sending unit already there. How do I remove it? Do I need to get rid of all the old epoxy? What epoxy do I need to glue it to the hull? (my kid threw away the stuff that came with the unit). My boat is a 1992 Skeeter zx175. Any info or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Agree with DJ, Stephen.

The key to Eagle's superior performance is the Skimmer transducer, mounted on the transom.

Good luck. :)

I think you are right. I guess I will just mount it on the transom. Any advice where for the best results. Do you want to be as far away from the engine as possible?

TS,

You are correct.

I would epoxy a piece of Starboard to the transom. That will allow you to move the transducer without drilling more holes in your transom.

Thanks Dj,
Where do you get that Starboard and what do you glue it up with?

TS,

West Marine has it. Really, most of the "white" cutting boards out there today are the same stuff.

You could also use teak.

Most two part epoxies will handle it.

www.westmarine.com
