anyone please..
im trying to get the RPM'S to work and the TRIM to work also...
there are 3 wires coming from the control panel on the side under the key ignition they are BLACK PURPLE and GRAY...
then there are 2 wires coming of the handle for forward and reverse where the trim is locate and they also go under the dash and they are WHITE and BLACK..
on the gauge them self they both have a L for LIGHT and a I for IGNITION a G for GROUND and a S for SENDER..
my question is what goes where?
thank you...
Daniel

[colour=blue]Hi Daniel, welcome to iboats.

Boat wiring is generic, that is to say that (generally speaking) the color codes for wiring is the same for all brands of boats. The exception to the rule is when someone has played with the wiring and messed things up, this is especially true in older boats that have had more than a few owners.

Repost your question in the 'electrics' forum, plenty of people there to help you (they probably don't look down here).

To get you started - from the control box, black is ground, purple is ignition positive and grey is the tach signal wire. On your RPM gauge - black to 'G', purple to 'I' and grey to 'S'. The 'L' is an option, it illuminates the gauge, you don't need to use it. If you want to use the light (or any other gauge light) just need to connect into the navigation light circuit (the same wire that powers the nav lights).
