I picked up a 6.6 gal Mercury Quicksilver plastic fuel tank. There's M25 and CSALM89787 stamped on the side of the tank. I got the tank with no lines or fittings and I'm going to be using it on a different motor (doing the vacuum fuel pump conversion on the old Evinrude which is currently set up for a cruz-a-day/pressurized tank) and when attempting to get a line, I tried multiple fittings on the tank side, and none of them fit. both the line and stabilizer post appear to be large compared to the fittings the store has on the shelf. Any help identifying the correct tank fitting would be greatly appreciated.

Pictures of the tank fittings would be better.
I'm sure if you took the tank to a different boat store they might be able to help with the fittings.

I did some research and found that Mercury tanks have two different post sizes, 6 mm and 7.5 mm, and one fuel post size, 8 mm. Walmart had the right fitting while a specialty store with a large boating department didn't, go figure
