Need help with motor info

Just recieved a older motor from my father. It's a johnson 4.5 hp but i need the year, fuel mix, proper lower unit lube. things like that any help would be greatly apprieciated sorry model number is J5RHC1C i don't know if the 1 in there is a one or a i. serial number is E5390658

Hi wolfriver<br /><br />We would need the model number to help you out. Look on the transom bracket and post any numbers you find...

"CI" would be a 1981 model. 50:1 on the mix(1 pint of TCW-3 oil per 6 gallons of gas. Hi-Vis lube for the lower unit available at Walmart and others. If it has not been run in a while, read this article:<br /><br /> web page
