I am a newbie when it comes to boats. I am looking at a 1995 Rinker 206 Captiva that I have found real cheap, problem is the complete outboard drive was stolen. I have no idea what it is suppose to have. What is left sticking out of boat says OMC with about 6 studs sticking out. It has a 4.3 chevy v-6engine. Other than that boats is in pretty good shape. Anyone know what type of drive this boat should have and what kind of trouble locating the parts?

Thanks in advance.......Danny

The 95 "SHOULD" have an OMC Cobra/Volvo SX outdrive on it. Pictures would help. Finding a FULL model number on the engine would be a great help also.
Include all the numbers and letters.

you can post a picture right here in a post, or a link to it.

if the photo is saved on your computer, you need to upload it to this site in a post

That is an older Cobra outdrive. Not the SX style.

If this is an older type drive, is there a certain model that I need to look for? I am totally in the dark.

Check your engine model number, make, cylinders, and horsepower. Once you have that information you can look up you model stern drive, which is definately an OMC

You will need a drive with the correct gear ratio for the size engine...4.3
Look at spending at least 2K on a used Cobra drive. If you are lucky enough to find one.
I would pass on that boat...
