I have a Sea King 3.5 hp that has not been used for years, I would like to get it working. First I would like info on the motor.
Model# XTV50535
Serial # 1582242
Type # K3506106A

Any info on this would help.

I also want to change the lower unit oil, is this even oil or grease?
What is recommended for this motor.
Thanks,
Bare

KTV-5035 is a Clnton model K350 1980 3.5Hp. Use chainsaw oil at 24:1 to be safe, but I'd think 32:1 would be fine. The gearlube is probably a semi-permanent grease Lubrimatic or Lubriplate 105.

I thought it looked like grease, I replaced it with high temp blue marine wheel bearing grease, I was hoping it would work.

Thanks for the information WillyB
