Need help with Trim Won't Raise up.

The boat is a 2007 Stratos with a 200 Yamaha. Trim has been working but sounded like it was low of fluid but was still working. The motor is running. I am going to check it this afternoon but would like to know how the system works before i start trying to figure it out. I don't think it has a leak as oil would be dripping. Also does anyone know if the trim is covered under the engine waranty. Any help I would be thankful Cub48.

Best thing you could do is order a service manual for your motor. Here is a link.

Makes things a lot easier than you trying to figure out how it works, especially if what you figure out is wrong.

Yes, the trim is covered under the motors warranty.

Thanks I went over and checked the boat out. Found a bolt had come out of the bottom pin that holds the trim pump and motor.We are thinking that was the reason it would not go down. It was putting it in a bind. One other thing how do you check the fluid level. We will carry it to the dealer as it is still under waranty. But would still like to know how. The owners manual does not tell. We also found the clamp that moves the trim lever broken. Cub48
