I have a 1995 Johnson 150 60-deg. loop-charge that I purchased used re-built, and I would like to know if any where on the powerhead their is a model or serial number that I can use to match it with the information on the ID plate on the mid-section to make sure that the powerhead is actually a 1995 and not older, because as you know, any one can put an older powerhead on a newer mid-section and sell the motor as if it was whatever year would state on the ID plate of the mid-section.

Any comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Re: NEED HELP

roger,

Look for a "core" or "freeze" plug on the engine block. They usually have the engine serial #.
