16.5 ft sidewinder boat had no leg. no head,no intake,exhaust manifold. I know its a 140 mercrusier by bore size, have replaced head, manifold ,have a alpha leg yoke is to long,ordered short yoke,bought new alt [marine] dis has points. my problem some wires are off and no apparent place to hook up.trim switch.interupter,and alt, had external reg. what i need is awiring diagram for something close to this year not noing what year this is. talk about f....dup thanks if anyone can help

not noing year, boat is mint,i was told by the widow thieves stole parts.the boat has 80 hours on meter and looks like it. everything is back together but a few wires. need diagram for a 140 mercrusier with external regulater alt. point dist. thanks for any help.

Ayuh,.... Then Guess.... What year is the Hull,..??
Is the Serial # still on the motor,..?? the hull,..??

Hull should have a serial number.. Is there a registration number on the bow?? Here in Texas you can use that to find out years and ownership of boats, for salvage reasons.. You for sure are salvaging.... Only thing I can see maybe messing with you is that external regulator..I think I could wire up point ignition in my sleep.

yeah dist, alt conversion no problem.just mentioned what engine came with so you would no what era motor from. my problem being auto mechanic the trim pump relays were missing the looks like limit switches not hooked up and maybe interupter switch not hooked up and no obvious place to go. so i was hoping for a link to a wiring diagram for 140 mercrusier with ext. reg and points, and that would show me what i need without guessing,and causing maybe more problems.
