Hey new to the forums. From what Ive seen so far the place to be.

I just purchased a 1975 starcraft and want to buy some accessories for it.

The problem is I don't know the model. There is a tag next to the drivers seat that states 'model : 16 SUS O/B'. I hope someone can tell me what type of boat this is.

It also has a 85 hp johnson if that helps

I also will add a pic of it.

Thanks for the help

Welcome Flint! Good job on posting a pic right away so we can leave the pitchforks hanging on the wall. Keep 'em coming.

Re: Need help

That's a nice looking boat flintman, is it recently restored? Looks like a good paint job anyway. I'm still not sure what mine is other than a runabout either. Tried looking at brochures, and checking sizes, and none of them match. Oh well, it's a starcraft, and now a jet.

Re: Need help

I didn't want a boat but couldn't say no to it. It was repaired and complete interior done 8 years ago. The motor was ripped down and done over 6 years ago.

I gave it a good cleaning because it sat last year. The guy i bought it off of was great gave me a bunch of spare parts. And the kicker was only payed $600 for it. The trailer is a cheap tilt trailer but it works.

Nice find. I own the same boat, you'll really enjoy it. The 85 Johnson should really move the SS, I have a 70 on mine and it moves really well. I would like to see more pics of what has been done to it, in the previously said restores. Welcome.

Re: Need help

Jayb123 The boat is all ready to go. The only thing I did was rewire the lights and horn because there were a lot of splices in the wires.

I'm dropping the boat in the water Aug 6th.

I can't wait for the fun. I have only owned small boats 8 hp and under and can't wait for a nice seat and a relaxing ride around.

Congrats on the new rig flintman:)

That 85hp will push her around like a banshee, might not be as relaxing as the 8hp but lots of fun:D
