Need "iboats info" section on home page

With the obvious server problems being experienced by iboats forums right now, may I suggest a news box on the main iboats homepage (not the main forums page, the main homepage) where the admins would have a place to put information? For instance "We regret to inform that the forums are down due to xyz...we expect downtime to last until 0:00PM on Monday" would have been helpful over the past couple of days.<br /><br />As the admin of another site that I'm not supposed to mention, I find this to be helpful to the members.

I concur that a info section at the top of the main home page would work.<br />That way everyone knows what is going on.

I just received this from Admin5.....<br /><br />"In a nutshell we are now forced to upgrade our message boards because of the changes we made late last week. The new upgrade should have a few more features so this will probably be good for us in the long run. We are getting the new system ready but it might take a few more days unfortunately. Its OK Ill be fine, I can wait, I realy quit drinking about 8yrs. ago. Im up to a bottle of Gentelman Jack a day. You guys at Iboats hurry this is breaking me.

Excellent, I am still waiting on a report on the Jack Daniels, Single Barrell. I bought a bottle for my middle boy and am waiting for Xmas to make my own assessment. It has been noted that perhaps he might not be willing to share with his dear old dad but I can put a a pretty pitiful posture....
