need info about Evinrude 6 Yachtwin outboard

I have an Evinrude 6 Yachtwin outboard. Wanted to change spark plugs, but I do not have necessary information about engine for store people to choose the correct plugs. The only information I have is that the motor says:<br /><br />Evinrude 6 Yachtwin. The metal is metallic blue, and has a white plastic top;<br />model number is E6SLCOB<br />serial number is G0467690<br /><br />I need to know horsepower, year of engine, and correct spark plug numbers, thanks. The spark plugs already in the engine are NGK B7HS 10. Are those plugs correct?

The model number should be all any qualified evinrude/johnson parts salesman should need to find any part for that engine. <br /><br />The plug you mention is a replacement for the Champion QL78YC. This is not the correct plug for this engine. <br /><br />Try a Champion QL77JC4 or an NGK BR9HS-10<br /><br />Your engine is a 1985 6hp
