need info on 1939 johnson outboard

I have a johnson seahorse M.D. 39, serial # 319281. I think it is a 1939 1.2 hp, but not sure. Is anyone out there a collector and would know something about this motor. I would appreciate any input. Thanks

Pinky, welcome to iboats. I think you need to post your question in the Johnson/Evinrude forum. You'd be more likely to get an answer.

You're right about 1939, but off on the Hp. Alas it's only a 1.1, I hope you weren't counting on that extra .1Hp.

You can get a parts catalog at kencook.com and aomci.org will have guys more familiar with antiques.
