Need info on 1956 Taft ?? Wooden Boat

Looking for anyone who can give me any info on a 1956 Taft.The boat is 17' and has a small cabin.All I know is the boat came from around the great lakes region.Bought it from a widow 6 yaers ago.I can't even find anyone who has heard of the boat.Taft is whats on the registration papers.

If it's made of wood go see the forums at www.woodenboat.com. I haven't been on that site in a long time but it used to have some exceptional forums. Kind of like this site but everything is about wooden boats. They put out an exceptional magazine too if you're into wooden boats.
