Do you need the engine? Are you willing to invest money that can never be recovered at sale?
Bad rod may indicate cracked crankcase. Bad crank -- unless you have one or can get one really cheap, don't bother rebuilding.
If you are just goofing around and want to experiment, rebuild BUT---with a bad crank and rod the engine is only worth scrap--- 200 MAX! 500, you are getting screwed without getting kissed first.
Yeah, I know the argument you will get: "The parts alone are worth more." Reply: "OK! Why don't YOU sell the parts?"
Don't run to buy any engine. These junk engines are like hookers: There's one on every corner.
