Purchased a used 14' custom Craft, ser# CFV6355M80I. Will try to attach photo. It has four foam filled compartments built in. When I purchased it, they were almost full of water. Someone smarter than me had drilled holes in each one to put in rod holders. Go figure. Was able to wet vac. out the water but the boat still seems heavy. Would love to have the history of the builder. (yes, I removed the rod holders and covered the holes)

No pix attached

And if the foam filled compartments had holes drilled into them and they filled w water, the foam likely needs to come OUT, it won't dry out completely, and I'd bet trapped water is why the boat is so heavy.

Custom Craft was a small regional builder located on Aqua lane in Tonawanda, NY (suburb of Buffalo). Their fiberglass tri-hulls have a cult following. They also made a whole series of wood boat plans, boat kits, frame kits, etc. Similar to Glen-L in the day. They went out of business decades ago. The current company is called Clark Craft, and they are located in the same building.

Google Clark Craft or also try Fiberglassics.com. They were not a very large builder, so I suspect few are surviring.
