Hi everyone, we currently have a rebuilt 19' bowrider but with our growing family the wife has asked about a bigger boat (go figure). There is a 2007 Keywest Oasis for sale nearby in very good condition with an 08 evinrude 115hp etec on it. I have read that Keywest stopped using wood in their boat construction in 1995, but I wanted to know how these boats typically are in quality. If they don't use wood then is everything fiberglass? How is the foam in the boat sealed? I have read in places that this model of boat had encapsulated foam and was essentially impossible to sink even if the drain plug was left out of it, and while I am not looking for an argument on that I just don't want to go down the road of a purchase just to have to do some sort of restoration work again that isn't foreseen, and the wood free construction is a major reason why this boat is attractive to me, although I want to hear any feedback on these boats possible regarding issues, construction, ride on water, etc. Thanks!
