Starting to look at different methods for covering the deck in my boat. If any one could give me some insight on durabillity, longevity, sun effects and cost of each I would be grateful. This will be on the walking surface.
Carpet is out of the question.

1. Poly resin with pigment added.

2. Marine vinyl . I have also seen some commercial grade flooring vinyls that look like they would hold up well.

3. Epoxy paint with non-slip additives in it.

4. Truck bed liner if I can find in other colors than black.

Lion,

I will put my vote on for durabak. It is made for the marine industry, once cured it is durable as heck, it is soft on the feet with rubber instead of sand particles, and available in many colors. I used a little less than one gallon on a 5' by 9' deck area and the cabin deck too in my cuddy (see pics in the thread below) I used 2 coats, and it covers very well. google durabak and check out their website. The downside is the price, but I am not planning on redoing it anytime soon:D
