Ok, so I have a 58 fastwin 18. I need a repair manual and all iv found on iboats is the soltec manual witch I have read is not that good. By the years it covers and all motors from 1.5 to 125hp I can see why. Can someone please just get me a link to a good one or tell me how to find a good one?

Ive never run into any problem that I couldn't solve with a seloc manual on the older j/e outboards.I found seloc assumes your a shade tree mech and factory assumes your a lisc mech.

use to be able to download that johnson book in PDF. I was lucky to grab a PDF formatted copy... but no more it seems .

you can apparently print pages by entering a page range , that being said the more PC experts may have a trick to "print to disc file"

the site directory offers lots of books on different motors and years

Now that I have java 11 I can view the books but it's one page at a time with no option to jump to a certain section. Very frustrating.

With most of the manuals on boat info I'll jump ahead a large number of pages at a time until I find the correct chapter. Then I subtract the number of pages to get back to the front of that chapter and punch that into the center bottom of the screen. That gets you the index for the chapter and you can jump ahead to the page that you need.

On boatinfo there is a search feature in the bottom right hand corner. An example is I look for electric choke removal in the index. And it is on page 4-20. Push the search button, and it will read start search here. Put 4-20 in and it will take you to that page. Sometimes it gives you more then one choice. So you need to chose the one you need. You can also enter something like torque specifications, and it will take you to the specs pages. I hope that helps.
