Took lower unit to local marina for rebuild and they found too many issues with it and recommended not doing it. Some parts that were needed were no longer available and more than half the parts in it needed to be replaced. The ring between the prop and lower unit was stripped right out and it sat in the water until I got to it and took it off recently. Any suggestions as to where I might find a good used lower unit? Local marina's don't have any, there is one on e-bay but it is in the U.S. Are there any places dealing with used Force parts in Ontario?
It's been a great motor, and still runs well. It's on a pontoon boat and I was looking forward to using with the family at the end of August. I can't imagine a pontoon boat with a great running motor but no lower unit is worth much and I'd like to keep it going. Any information would be appreciated!
