I am looking to do my first service of my outdrive, replacing bellows (transom service kit), gimbal ring, impeller, shift cable kit, trim senders, etc.

It seems this project is much easier with the following tools:

- bellows tool
- drive alignment tool (with gimbal installation disks)
- gimbal puller
- hinge pin

Mod EDIT: Solicitation removed
I am in Calgary, AB. Anyone know of any shops that rent them? If I strike out on renting, I'll look to buy them (except gimbal puller if I can source a 20 lb slide hammer). What do you guys suggest for buying in Canada where US exchange rate doesn't kill you and neither does shipping? Shipping on these items is the kicker.

Oh...and any other tools I'll need that I missed here?

These are not 1 time use tools. You will need them again.

Buy them

I agree it will be good to own them in the long term. But with shipping that kit is $350 CAD. Remember, just last year our dollar was $1 USD = $1 CAD. If I can rent this time, then I can more easily afford all the other stuff I need to do with the boat right now.

Ayuh,.... The bellows tool can be fabbed by yerself, or locally,... Use the exhaust Tube, 'n ya don't need it anyways,...

The alignment bar can be fabbed locally,...
Dimensional drawin's of it, 'n the bellows tool can be found in Don'S Adults Only section at the top of the I/O forums, or in my signature,...

The bearin' puller is just a slide hammer, as is the pin tool,...
The pins in yer case are 1/4" threads I believe,....
The Alpha pins can be turned out with alittle heat, 'n a 1/2" allen key,...
