Need opinion on Mercury Force Engine

I am looking at a 24' toon with a 1998 75 Horse Mercury Force engine. I know they are out of production, but am curious about quality and availability of parts and repair?

Good running motors.
Do a compression/spark test.
Check the oil in the lower,do a pressure test if possible.

After you buy.
Make sure the carb is set right.
Timing is OK.
The fuel recirc system is clear/clean.
This motor will last a LONG time if you take care of it.
