<br />I am looking at this boat..If anyone could/would offer up opinions,it would be greatly appreciated. It is a 1988 Tracker Magna V-17.It has a 95 Mercury 75 ELPTO engine, Hummingbird fishfinder,livewell,MinnKonta 50lb. Trolling motor and a 2001 LoadRite drive on trailer. He is asking $4,995 for the setup. What do you all out here think??Pass or look into it further.. Thank you..

Strike King,<br /><br />It looks a little rough. Maybe just the paint.<br /><br />Do this:<br /><br />1. Walk around in it and see if there are any soft spots in the floor/decks. If so, point that out to the seller.<br /><br />Fortunately, soft floors/decks are not hard to repair on an aluminum boat. The seller doesn't need to know that. <br /><br />2. Lift the engine up to its full up setting. Grab the skeg of the engine and lift up and push down. See if the transom flexes. If so, that is a BIG deduct in the price. You can replace the wood in the transom, yet it IS a project. Not that hard, just tedious.<br /><br />3. Get compression readings on the engine. The cylinders should be over 100 psi and with 5-10 psi of each other.
