Is There A Website I Can Find Part Numbers On A 1969 20hp Johnson I Need To Find Out The Forward Gear Number And The Clutch Dog Number.

Yup, but you won't like the price. The gears should be replaced as a set (forward, reverse, pinion and clutch) and sell for $500-600 new. I recommend buying a good used lower unit. One can usually be found for $300-400 from a wrecker. Often you can find them for much less privately. Or consider buying a whole parts motor with a good lower unit. I believe you can use any 18 hp lower unit or any 20-25 hp lower unit without thru-hub exhaust. However, don't take my word for it. Reference the parts catalogues first. BRP has all their parts catalogs back to 1968 online for free at the following address.

Thank You Wayne That Is A Great Website. I Got All The Imformation I Need And More. I Have Found A Couple Of Lower Units On Ebay But I'm A Little Uneasy About Buying One Like That. Ya Know What I Mean!

Have u tried to rework the dog and gears? or are they to bad to try. I reworked my 71 25hp rude gears and dog and seems to be working great...Knock on wood.

Yes I Am On My 2nd Rework. A Guy I Work With Give Me A Phone Number To A Boat Repair Shop That Has A Lot Of Used Parts. I Think I'll Look Into That. I May Get Lucky,maybe.....
