I have a 1997 170 Fish & Ski Sunbird with a 115 Johnson V4 2-cycle of the same year. We use it to ski and other water sports. It is equipped with an aluminum 3-blade, 14x17 prop with moderate wear and tear. WOT should be between 4500 and 5500rpm max. The motor is running fine but it is a little slow out of the hole. It tops out in the low 40's when trimmed out a little higher than necessary (it hits the throttle stop at around 5400 rpm +/-). I would like to improve the hole shot and hopefully not lose any more on the top end. Any recommendations on the prop pitch, rake, cup, etc.? Thanks in advance.
