Ok, so i am installing new speakers and radio in my boat. I have done a ton of reading and have come up with a wireing diagram and want a second opinion from anyone who knows audio, i am not real familiar with it. The amp is 760w, 4 channel. The sub is 4 ohm 250w, the tower speakers are 4 ohm 60w RMS. As everyone know Marine audio equipment is not cheap so the equipment shown is what i have to deal with. Getting a second amp just for the sub is really not an option at the moment.

The overall idea it looks good, but you will want to make sure that the amp is capable of running a 2ohm load on the front channels. Other than that I am assuming that you are going to be powering the front and rear from the headunit power, while feeding the signals to the amp through rca cables.

My single biggest question is what exact amplifier are you trying to use to run all of this? Secondary to that is what speakers are you using?

While in theory this would work, I have a huge feeling that you're either going to be very disappointed and/or fry things in the process.

I would highly, highly recommend even a cheap off brand amp for that sub. You can get a decent one for $60-$80 or so (http://www.amazon.com/Sound-Storm-L...3UBW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1338248496&sr=8-1). For twice that, you could get a competition series class D amp that would blow you away and last. (http://www.amazon.com/Hifonics-Brut...?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1338248951&sr=1-18) Use the 4 ch amp for the tower speakers and the internal deck amp for the boat speakers. By doing this, you can both selectively switch the tower speakers off and on when wanted/needed so that you're not continuously blasting everyone around you and also able to have remote mounted adjustment for the subwoofer volume.

If you do choose to go ahead with this, make SURE that you're running 4AWG marine grade cable to that amp or else you'll be choking it for power and it won't last you but an hour on the water if that.

The speakers are Polk Audio 6.5 DB651 180W peak, 60WRMS, 4ohm....The sub is JL Audio M10IB5-4 10 250W 4oham...The amp is a760w jenson..not sure of all the specs i dont have them in front of me, but it is 2/4 ohm 4 channel. I am planning to run the cabin speakers off the deck and the tower speakers off the amp for that very reason, i dont want them blasting all the time..I am trying to come up with a second amp for the sub but money is a big issue with this project so i am very limited on my choices cause its needs to be like free lol.

Ohhhhhhh buddy. This is all going to end in tears. If you hook a Jensen amp up like that, I predict that it won't last 5 minutes. Seriously.

Even though off brand amps say that they can handle 2 ohm loads, you're hard pressed to turn them up more than 1/3 before they fry. You're better off not trying to use that sub at all right now and just wait until you have the money to buy another cheap amp. It's either that, or have no amp at all after it breaks. I hate to sound negative, but Jensen is pretty much the worst of the worst.

Trust me ;)

Use that amp in a standard 4 ohm load for just the tower speakers and hook the turn on wire up to a 12V+ accessory switch so that you can selectively toggle them off and on. Done deal.
