I am going to look at 3 boats tomorrow and would like some advice and feedback on model and personal experience..

1. 21ft 1987 Sea Ray....
2. 1986 Bayliner Capri w/V8
3. 1990 18ft Chaparral 1800

All are priced inside my Price range but need to know what best buy is.. I know the condition of them is also in question and as I have not peronally seen them yet I cannot answer that..

Also what should I be on the look out for in the way of problems now and possibly in the future..

Thanks...

Personally, I'd go with the Chaparral. Especially if the condition is the same. Second choice would be the Sea Ray. I wouldn't even consider the Bayliner unless it was an'07 or '08.

Searay is a very good boat...that would be where I would lean.
However condition and history should define this not the make. If the Chaparral or Searay have been beat to death...and it happens..then take the Bayliner.
Think of anything you would buy. A beat up car...is a beat up car....ferrari, jag, of an f250....if its done its done. Don't buy it. I would buy a car in good condition before I would buy a primo 'beater'. Ask most people who buy used German cars if they would buy another.......not.
Good Luck
