I Bought a long unused eska twin and am trying to make it work. I recently attempted to rebuild the carb.
When I got to the part where you are supposed to replace the 'seat' for the inlet needle I encountered a bit of an annomaly.

digging down into the well with a paper clip, I did not find the rubber seat I was expecting, I instead
found a very thin metal ring with a small niche in it (item 2a). Beneath that there seems to be some sort of rubber diaphram, illustrated in blue(item 3a). As you can see from the diagram its nothing like (item 4a) which is what came in the rebuild kit.

Now I have a theory, that at one time the part 3a, may have looked exactly like 4a, but it broke up and got sucked deeper into the well where it sort of got scrunched up untill it looks like 3a currently does. My understanding is eska did a lot of funky configurations with this carb model, so i could be wrong.

So what do you think, should I Pull 3a out with a paper clip and try to make 4a from the rebuild kit work?
Any advice is welcome.

Currently my engine will run for about 90 sec, then it stalls out, I Think its using up all the fuel in the bowl and not taking
enough new fuel in to refill it. At which point the primer hand pump becomes a bit soft and I have to pump it to refill the bowl. If I sort of massage the primer pump while the engine is running it does not seem to stall out.

Once again, any advice is welcome.

Wow, no replies at all lol.
I eventually decided I Was right, the seat was damaged and dislocated.
I pulled it out with a paper clip and replaced it.
Problem solved.
