i have a 1987 wellcraft 220xl bowrider that im goin to be restoring when i get home. sorry i dont have pics of it. im restoring the stringers, deck, interior and transom. i have a few pics of a floorplan i have worked up and i was wondering did i miss anything? any major components i forgot to include or cover in here?

there are 2 seating arrangements in the picture, along with a floorplan idea. i cannot decide wether i want to use a bench seat setup in the rear or a dual jump seat set up either. the boat will be used for fishing and skiing, and general cruising on lakes. likely carrying 6-8 passengers. what are the pros and cons of bench seating and a jump seat set up?

i tried to make the floorplan as detailed as possible. so what do yall think? am i missing any details i should add to this build plan or do i have everything pretty much covered?

ok im not sure if i did the attachment right. not sure if yall can make out the typing in it. let me know how i can fix it if its unreadable

on edit:
i forgot to mention the enitre aft section of the interior is missing. no bench seats or engine cover arrangement, nothing. i have the sun pad but no example of what it used to sit on for support, or how the bench seat used to be. it all rotted away and is gone. all there is in the back are the stringers, no deck or nothing around the engine or from the driver and passenger seat to the transom

The bench seat is further away from the transom and makes it tougher to fish from but is more comfortable for people.

It's user's choice and the only limit is your budget and abilities.

Yes your attachment works fine.

thanks. when i foam in the hull is it gona cause me problems having an infloor hatch behing the drivers seat? there would be foam under the deck behind the passenger seat but not as much foam behind the drivers seat because of that storage compartment i wana put in. will this cause it to not be ballanced correctly or lean in the water?

hi
welcome to iboats..

you wont have any problems with list unless you distrubiute the weight incorrectly.....

however.....it is your needs that will determine the dog house or sun pad configuration.

the sun pad and bench will take up floor space. the dog house will keep the space bout only allow you to have 2 people back there....and they dont usually sit in the jumpers any how....(too windy)

i investigated both options very carefully.....i went with the sun pad over the motor......but only being 19 feet....there was no room in the boat.....so i had to extend the hull. got lots of room now.

bayliner has a great option if you want the sun pad and the dog house......they have jump seat bases that lift up over the seat to make the pad.

but it is you that must decide what you like best....at 22 feet...you have the room
