I have a 1988 125 force when at idle I have water coming out of the 2 small holes in the midsection, When underway I don't see any water coming out. When I got it on the trailing I looked in to the 2 holes and there is a piece that looks like it slids back and forth to block the holes. ( I hope ) I was told that this is to block the water from coming out and the water is coming out of the prop. Is this true. Thanks for all your help

The two holes you are refering are are idle relief exhast ports. They are usually operational when idling or when motor is operating at low RPM. They are intended to relive exhast backpreassure during low RPM operation.
