need some help on my 76 eska

i just recently purchesed my 76 ted williams outboard its an eska/tecumseh power head and carb, the serial number is 217/58631-1 or so i think. anyhow my biggest concern now is how to replace the upper seal on the cooling tube going to the powerhead. some help on this would greatly be apreciated and thanks for any info one might have

I *Think* you have to get the powerhead off to replace that seal.

How did you figure out that the upper seal is bad?

thanks for the info i figured as much i've been to the sears site its how i ordered my impeller. what i did is i took the lower unit off exposing the cooling tube i took a pump its a hand siphon is what it is i use it when i service tractors and such and i used it to pump water up the tube and out of the pee hole while doing this i shined a light up observing the tube looking for leaks it makes it a lot easier with someone helping you as you do this thats about it.
