Hello,
I have a 1982 OMC Inboard which is actually a Chevy 305 engine. I recently tuned it up changed all the filters and when I changed the oil I noticed that it had a little milky color to it. The oil was not watery but it did have this light brown color to it.
I changed the oil filter and oil and the boat started right up and idled fine. Ran it for about 15 minutes than shut it off and started it again with no problems at all. I checked the oil level and it is fine but still has a little discoloration to it but that could be from whatever oil was still in the motor after I drained it.
I was just worried about the oil color. Could it be from condensation from the winter? Also what should I do? Should I drain the oil again and refill it.
