Need some help from you all on upgrading the prop on my boat. It's a 1998 20' Chaparral bowrider (200LE). Motor is a 4.3GL V6 Volvo, 190 HP. Drive is a SX 1.79 ratio. Chaparral lists the weight at 2500 so I'm guessing around 3500 loaded. Current prop is a factory Volvo 3 blade aluminum 14.25" x 21P. Performance is 4500 RPM and 38-40 MPH per my GPS depending on load. Would like a quicker plane and more speed if both are possible. Don't ski much behind but I do pull tubes quite often. Thanks for any advice as prop selection is new to me.

Top end and hole shot don't usually go together.
Don't know your max rated rpm.You could go with a 19" pitch would add "about" 400 rpm and improve hole shot, possibly without hurting top end too much.
You could try a 20" 4 blade should give a vastly improved hole shot ,better low to midrange control, better control at the dock but will likely cost 2 to 3 mph top end.
